I wondered if it was possible to replace wooden shakes with vinyl siding only on the front of my house. It is a one story ranch - about 60 feet wide (this includes a garage). I'd like a ballpark estimate for materials and installation - and whether or not its possible to cap the sides even if one of the sides on each corner being capped would be wooden shakes.

I would like to recieve a quote for replacing my wood siding with cement fiber siding. it would be 4X8 sheets with a little lap siding. I would also like a seperate quote on replacing the shingles on the roof.
